New AppleScript Web Site Launched
Russ Coffman has launched a new site dedicated to providing AppleScript news and information. According to Mr. Coffman:

Did you ever wish there were a central location for AppleScript news and events? Me too, so I created one -- AppleScript This Week, a humble but functional website with all the AppleScript news in one place. Subjects covered are new software releases, new or updated scriptable apps, new and updated web pages, Apple news, seminars, and print articles. Suggestions for other areas to cover are welcome, of course. A good site is never finished.

Since the volume of AppleScript news is not that great, my initial plan is to keep about a week's worth of information on the main news page. New information will be posted as available, and items over a week old will be archived - sort of a sliding one week window. That way, you can stop by once a week and catch up on all the news.

It's still being built but the basics are there, and I wanted to get the word out before Macworld Expo. Hopefully we'll have plenty of news next week!

If you are at all interested in AppleScript, go check out this site.

The Mac Observer: The site starts off with lots of information and has a hilarious jab at Microsoft at the bottom of their home page. A truly funny joke!

Above and beyond that, it's great to have an AppleScript resource on the web. AppleScript is assuredly one of the most underrated and underutilized technologies Apple has that is not in maintenance mode. AppleScript This Week will no doubt help many Mac users curious about this technology.
