Griffin Technology's US$15 Voodoo Adapter Now Works With PC Voodoo2 Cards
Griffin Technology has announced that their NE3D Voodoo adapter is now compatible with PC Voodoo2 cards. They attribute the new support to the generic 3Dfx drivers released by 3Dfx. According to Griffin Technolgy:

Griffin Technology, Inc. today announced the NE3D adapter which allows users to take advantage of virtually ANY 3dfx card on a Mac OS™ system is now committable with Voodoo2 cards. Previously NE3D users were restricted to Voodoo1 cards. With the release of the Voodoo2 reference drivers by 3dfx, the NE3D can now be used with any of the incredibly fast Voodoo2 cards built for the PC market.

The Mac Voodoo2 reference drivers have been tested with a large number of Voodoo2 cards and games by Griffin.

At only $15.00, Griffin Technology's NE3D adapter offers a great solution for Mac gamers. 3dfx or Voodoo has become the defacto standard for high performance video gaming on PC systems. The systems use specially designed high performance ASICs to provide the maximum performance for video displays. "With all the 3dfx Cards on the market today, the NE3D adapter fills a great need", said Griffin.

The NE3D adapter is compatible with all Macs that have PCI slots. It is compatible with a large number of Mac Games and can also be used with PC games when running Virtual PC or Real PC. The adapter consists of a cable, PC to Mac adapter, and CD with utilities and demo games. The adapter is available for direct and OEM sales.
