Newer Releases G3 Upgrade Cards Up To 300 MHz For 6100/7100/8100
Newer Technology has released faster versions of their G3 upgrade cards for 1st generation NuBus based PowerMac 6100, 7100, and 8100 models. According to Newer:

"The original MAXpowr G3 PDS 6100 G3 upgrade card formerly ran at speeds of 21OMHz and 240MHz. It is now being offered at 266MHz G3 with 512K of backside cache running on a cache bus of 133MHz. The two new Power Mac 7100 and 8100 upgrades formerly ran at the same speeds as the 6100 upgrade card, are now offered at 266MHz G3 with 512K backside cache running on a 133MHz bus, or a 30OMHz G3 with 1MB backside cache running on a 20OMHz bus."

All three MAXpowr G3 PDS upgrades will begin shipping in March. The estimated street price for the MAXpowr 6100 266MHz/512K/133MHz is $399. For 7100 and 8100s, the MAXpowr 266MHz/512K/133MHz estimated street price is $499, and $699 for the MAXpowr 30OMHz/1MB/20OMHz.
