Consumer Level Digital Image Enhancer Released
Q-Reasearch has released a new product called PhotoGenetics aimed at the comsumer market. PhotoGenetics is designed to help the user enhance digiatl images (from a scanner or digital camera). According to Q-Research:

"PhotoGenetics uses a new technology, genetic image optimization, to allow you to quickly and simply improve the quality of digital photographs. Genetic programming is applied to the appearance of an image creating variations of the original. As you rate each variation PhotoGenetics automatically adjusts the characteristics of the image, including sharpness, color balance, hue, gradient, temperature, contrast, and brightness. There is no need to learn a complex image-editing program, simply compare the pairs of images that appear on your screen until you see what you like. The "image genotype" that is created by this process can then be saved and then applied to other photographs in seconds."

The suggested retail price of PhotoGenetics is $24.95 when purchased via direct Internet download. A CD-ROM version of PhotoGenetics is available for $34.95.
