Connectix Update To PlayStation Emulator/Announces Windows Version
Connectix has announced version 1.2 of Virtual Game Station, their popular and controversial PlayStation emulator for the Mac. Unfortunately for the Mac, but fortunately for Connectix, they also officially acknowledged that a Windows version of the game was in development.

The new version for the Mac brings in compatibility with 12 new Top 50 games and support for creating and reading DexDrive files. DexDrive files are used for storing "Saved Game" information allowing players to resume games or play games saved at higher levels than they have reached by downloading DexDrive files from the Internet. Connectix has also enhanced the anti-piracy technology within VGS making it harder to play illegally pirated copies of PlayStation games, a key ingredient in their legal fight with Sony to continue shipping the product.

The updater is a free download to registered owners of Virtual Game Station 1.0 and 1.1.
