Apple's stock didn't do much of anything today as it closed at 44 3/8, unchanged from its close on Friday. Volume was down from its average of over 4,741,045 shares trading hands with only 1,836,000 shares being traded today.
The DOW closed 10853.47, down 59.85 while the NASDAQ closed at 2561.85, up 33.99. Apple's competitors also had a mixed day with Dell, Compaq, Gateway 200, and Hewlett -Packard all closing slightly up. IBM closed slightly down.
The Mac Observer Spin: Apple will be giving financial analysts a briefing on Wednesday and nothing else of any significance is really going on right now. Today's close is definitely one of the strongest indicators yet that Wall Street is happy with apple's stock price in the mid-40s.
