Turns out the press conference was not so hot. We have a followup story that fesses up to the fact that we were wrong.

Financial Press Rumors Could Mean Big Stock Gains
We received a letter from a trusted source who requested anonymity. That source spins a tale for us that will rock Apple's stock if true. The portion of the letter we can print:

Now please keep me anonymous...

I expect Apple stock to jump 5-10 points after the full effect of the investor's meeting takes place.

Apple is letting them in on the BIG SECRET. They are unveiling the MASTER PLAN. I can't say more without the Men In Monochrome Hue vaporizing me where I stand.

Get ready to rock...

So far today, Apple's stock is actually down 1 1/16 as of this printing.

The Mac Observer Spin: We can't verify the substance of the secret portion of this letter, but this came from a very trusted source and we were able to speak to this person on the phone about it. News from Apple's press conference has proven to be very difficult to come by, and the story our source tells us is extremely plausible and just what one might expect for Steve Jobs to surprise us with if he was actually predictable (which he is not).

This could make the next week or two very interesting indeed.
