Screen Shot Shows Possible P1 Support In Sonata
In other P1 news, also from Asia (see our story entitled Asian OEM Story Reveals Information On P1), we received word from a trusted source requesting anonymity who has come through in the past with good information. He sent us a screen shot from Sonata that shows us an option called "Proto99" under a mobility heading during a custom installation. Our eagle-eyed source thinks this may be in reference to the P1, or Consumer Portable, and we think he is right.

Hello,

Please don't reveal me as a source.

I am writing to show you this screen shot from Sonata a4c2. Proto99 is an option under "Mobilty" when the user selects custom installation.

Will this be the Consumer Portable?

Regards

If any Observers have more specific information on this, please let us know!

The Mac Observer Spin: This isn't a big deal by any stretch, but the P1 is an exciting product. Seeing references to it in Apple technology reminds us that we are closer every day to the release date.

Thanks to our source!
