by Staff

EZQuest, hot on the heels of their new Boa Firewire CDRW line, has begun shipping a new line of Firewire hard drives. The new drives come in various capacities, but all feature the speed and ease of use provided by Apple's Firewire technology. According to EZQuest:

EZQuest, Inc. began shipping its new line of FireWire hard drives today. The Cobra series feature 10, 20, 27 and 37GB capacities and are shipping to Apple dealers worldwide.

The Cobra series tout transfer rates of 12/13MB/sec, dual 6pin FireWire ports, internal power supply, hot plug ease of use and 2 year warranties. The Cobra series hard drives are compatible with the imac DV line, blue and white G3s as well as G4 Macintosh computers.

FireWire has become the darling of the computer industry and EZQuest is leading the way in providing storage solutions to that market, according to Ebrahim Zmehrir President of EZQuest, Inc.. "The great thing about new technologies beyond the enhanced features, is that it allows EZQuest the opportunity to get creative and provide striking new products that in turn fulfill a void. The Cobra series does just that," says Zmehrir.

The Cobra Firewire hard drives range in price from US$359 to US$699. You can find more information at the EZQuest web site.
