[7:00 AM] QuickTime Live! Site Launched

QuickTime gets the limelight all to itself in a few months at QuickTime Live!, a conference held November 8-11 in Los Angeles. According to Steve Jobs, Apple Computer iCEO, "QuickTime Live! is a must-attend event for anybody wanting to create and broadcast the highest quality streaming content on the Internet."

QuickTime Live! will feature 8 Pre-Conference Workshops, 36 Conference Sessions, Keynote Addresses, Product Showcase, Evening Events and Birds-of-a-Feather discussions.

In anticipation of a sell-out, pre-registrat ion is open until November 1st. Prices range from free admission to exhibits only all the way up to US$1195 for access to all workshops and conferences, with a few CD's thrown in as well! Prices will rise on September 22, so be sure and register soon. Discounts are available to students, educators, and groups of 5 or more.

The Mac Observer is a media partner for this event and, as such, will have up-to-date information on the conference as it is made available.

The Mac Observer Spin: With 14 million downloads of QuickTime 4 already, there's no question that this technology has a strong foothold in the mainstream market. Streaming video is the way of the future, and it's great to see conferences like this helping to strengthen QuickTime's position in preparation of things to come!
