SETI@Home Processing Conclusions: Proof That Mac Is #1

Well, numbers don't necessarily denote a higher form of intelligence. While there many more PC users out there, the numbers provided by SETI@home's web site can be construed to mean that Macs are superior machines...
Power = Work/Time
Now because there are many, many more PC users participating in this project than Mac users, the amount of Work (W) is going to be greater. However, the amount of Time (T) in this case measures how much time each group put into the project. Therefore, more work is good, and less time is good. So, where does that leave platform comparisons on SETI@home's platform page? Let's see...
1) Pentium/Windows
Total Results - 11499466
Total Time - 45982.09 years
TR/TT = 250.08576165
Pentium/Windows - 250.08576165
2) Macintosh
Total Results - 1536850
Total Time - 3962.52 years
TR /TT = 387.84662286
Mac - 387.84662286
According to SETI, Macs on average process 1.5508544761x more than PC's. That means that every Mac is worth an average of 1.6 Wintel PCs. Now this is a total average comparison, and does not account for specific processors. However, on average, SETI@home's data suggests that Macs are unquestionably superior, even if they are not as popular.
