When I updated my podcasts in iTunes, MGG didn't update. The last one I have is #61. I clicked on the right-arrow to go to the iTMS page for the podcast and, sure enough, no #62. That was the Enhanced version. The "Show Details" link above goes to the Standard version, which does have #62. I think that this has happened several times before--the enhanced version comes out several days after the standard. That doesn't seem like a good way to treat your loyal listeners! <G>

Keep up the good work!

Were they meant to be British or Australian accents at the end? ; )

Or maybe I should say: Hey ya'll talkin' mighty fine over yonder.

Well, here's the process. We record the show, convert it to MP3, and post it literally within minutes of us completing the recording. Then, we convert it to AAC, and send it to Michael to listen through, add images, links, etc. This is a *very* time consuming process. Most of the time, Michael is able to get the show done within about 12 hours of us finishing it (he rocks, really). Such was the case today. Sometimes, though, schedules don't mesh and it takes a day or two.

As an aside, the shownotes are also done asynchronously. John goes through, listens to the show, and creates the links for the shownotes. Though this should only take an hour or so, it usually takes John about 3 days to get it done... pester him on this, would ya?

So... it's not so much that we're posting the AAC/Enhanced version late, it's that we're getting the MP3 out *early* for anyone who wants/needs it. If you want the show as soon as it's done, sign up for the MP3. If you're willing to wait for the enhanced components to be added to the file, then you can get it on the "regular" schedule.

Well, that was a veiled reference to the end of The Beatles' "Helter Skelter"... and then John followed up with a reference to the HitchHiker's Guide To The Galaxy... so... definitively an attempt at British accents.

I should've spotted the hitch hiker one, still, they weren't that bad; like those British accents on the Simpsons or the classic Dick Van Dyke ones from Mary Poppins:

"'ello, 'ello, 'ello? Admiral's right. 'eavy weather brewing at Number 17 and no mistake."

Next time, I'll be sure to make you both a cuppa.
