Direct Link: MP3 Version
The Mac Geek Gab's Dave Hamilton joins Ricky and Jeff to machine some context around the Cisco/Apple screaming match and the porn industry's race away from Blu-Ray. Then, Ricky and Jeff take a closer look at how Macworld went, including some cool products, winners and losers of the week, and an analysis of how Macworld is growing and changing.
The Apple Weekly Report will be included in TMO's main RSS feed, and also in its own feed if you'd like to add it directly to your podcatching client.

Mon Jan 15, 2007 11:26 am Subject: Apple versus Cisco...or is it Pancho?
I will be very interested to see how this ridiculous situation plays out: if indeed Cisco has lost their rights to the name, this will get real entertaining, real fast.
I particularly like this morning's bit of 'news' - that Cisco is trying to crowbar their way into the catbird seat vis-a-vis the IT(M)S, in exchange for access to a right they've (arguably) already let slip away.
Adding to the merriment: the biggest down-side for Apple here is a name-change for the unit; Cisco OTOH is poised to capture the flag for 2007 in the category of "embarrassingly bone-headed moves in full view of the public". Sad news, no doubt, for the previous place-holder, The Santa Cruz Organization.
