After a recap of the week's Apple news, Ricky and Jeff dive into a one-of a kind Product Roundup. Learn about Melodyne, a pro-audio application you've definitely heard before -- though you probably didn't know it. Plus, this show features recording contortions, for the Mac nerds out there.

The Apple Weekly Report will be included in TMO's main RSS feed, and also in its own feed if you'd like to add it directly to your podcatching client.

Hi Ricky,
Great to hear a review of the Melodyne Plugin. This is a truely inspirational piece of software that will take any sound library and multilply its capabilities ten fold. ie If you have a set of saxophone riffs that work for a particular key or genre, there is every likelyhood that you will be able to manipulate the riffs to work for many other keys and genres.. if ya know what I'm gettin' at.

Also, since you mentioned the midi side of things earlier in the podcast, it might be worth noting that the full version (as opposed to the plugin version) can actually export midi tracks from any audio that you have put in it.

There are many other great workflow features that make Melodyne an essential tool in the music production process. I guess what I am getting at, is that melodyne shouldn't be regarded only as a fix it tool.

Cheers,
Matt
