Podcast - Apple Weekly Report: Steve Jobs Stock Options, John Lennon, and Phantom iPhone Clones

by , 9:15 PM EDT, August 18th, 2007

Direct Link: MP3 Version

Steve Jobs scored some serious Apple stock this week, and John Lennon joined the iTunes Store, but it's still too early for the obligatory "Come Together" Beatles references. The iPod played a part in an insider trading scam that went sour, hackers have found a less painful way to unlock the iPhone, and an iPhone clone is in the works. All that, and listeners let Jeff and Bryan know what they think about their assessment of Apple's new iMacs.

The Apple Weekly Report will be included in TMO's main RSS feed, and also in its own feed if you'd like to add it directly to your podcatching client.

Subject: Not really all solo Beatles work avail in store

Big correction: while technically there are tracks in the store by Ringo Starr and George Harrison, neither's classic 1970s tracks are available yet. So it isn't really like all four Beatles have solo content in the store. At least not yet...

Subject: iPhone touch screen error

Why did you repeat the error about the "heat sensitive" iPhone touch screen after it had been debunked here on TMO? The iPhone's screen is capacitance based, not heat-sensitive. That's why it works through glass and screen protectors.
