I guess I may have missed something, but I don't recall anyone acknowledging that this hasn't been a weekly report for some time now. Rather than annoy everyone that the show is late -- again! -- how about changing the name to Apple Report or Apple Occasional Report so that we're just happy whenever a new episode arrives?
Bit disappointed with the context machine this episode. While the look at the stock price, along with Bryan's critique of stock analysts, was great, I was hoping you would address the growing perception that Apple might have lost its focus on quality. MobileMe woes with inadequate reaction from Apple, inefficiency with AppStore updates, all the "f'in NDA" talk, recent problems activating iPhones, all following on the heels of a buggy Leopard and a Back to My Mac that still often fails to work. Don't get me wrong: I'm still an Apple fan and my next computer will certainly be a Mac. But I think the notion that Apple doesn't really have what it takes to be as big as it has become deserves at least a little discussion, along with a review of their record on quality assurance.
Oh, and don't forget to update your titles on the podcast web page. Love the show, by the way, just wanted to mentin a couple of things that were bothering me.
Sun Aug 03, 2008 6:31 am Subject: Excellent Analysis of Stock Price
I'll have to say that was an excellent analysis of why the stock has lagged in the face of record revenues and potential.
Also, the gun sound effect was cool, but not quite as good as the original.
I provide daily analysis of Apple stock on my blog, so if you guys are ever interested in my view, or the view of thousand of Apple investors who follow the blog every day, you might consider checking it out. Here's the link:
