Another Sign
For more years than they have been around, critics have predicted that Apple was dead. Not really of course, but it seems that way sometimes. Since Steve Jobs took over the company in 1997, Apple has begun a long climb back up that many thought was impossible. Since the introduction of the iMac, there has been little doubt with even the most ardent critics that Apple was back to health.
But there is more to the health of an industry than company profits. We have only to look at 1995, a banner year for Apple according to The Books, but surely a year when Apple was very sick. There are many small signs to look for and we do just that. Almost every week it seems a story crosses our monitors that is evidence of the growing health and prosperity of the Mac market. We have assembled those stories under the heading of "Another Sign."
