Apple's Q2 Conference Call Today, First Call Expect US$.02 Profit

As a reminder, Apple's fiscal Q2 conference call will be today. The call will take place at 5:00 PM EDT (2:00 PM PDT). Apple will also be simulcasting the conference call over the Web as a QuickTime Streaming Webcast. From Apple:
Apple, FY 03 Second Quarter Results Conference Call
WHEN: Wednesday, April 16, 2003, 2:00 p.m. (PDT)/5:00 p.m. (EDT)
WEBCAST: Apple will provide live audio streaming of its FY 03 Second Quarter Results Conference Call utilizing Apple's popular QuickTime 6, the industry-leading multimedia software for live and on-demand audio and video streaming. The live audio Webcast will be accessible through Apple's web site at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/earningsq203
The Webcast requires QuickTime 6. Barring technical issues, TMO will provide live coverage of the conference call.
CBS Marketwatch is reporting that Thomson First Call is expecting a profit of 2 cents a share, as opposed to an 11 cent per share profit a year ago. Apple had its first back to back quarterly losses since the return of Steve Jobs in the previous two quarters. As of press time, AAPL is trading at 13.22, down 0.17 (-1.27%) on very heavy volume of 17,371,206 shares trading hands.
