Apple Stock Jumps 6%

With about an hour-and-a-half to go in Monday's trading day, Apple's stock jumped 6% to over US$76 before dropping below that mark and seeing a 5.41% ($3.90) gain to $75.93. The company's shares have been moribund lately since passing $80 per share shortly after Macworld Expo in San Francisco earlier this month. However, Banc of America's Monday decision to lower its Apple target price to $82 seems to have given the shares a shot in the arm.

If the reason for tis "shot in the arm" jump in the stock is that an analyst "lowered" it's target, then by all means, everyone lower away.

There is another reason for the sharp run up, not the silly one listed in the story. Maybe someone could actually be a journalist and find out. Not just spew trash that means nothing.

Basing stock values on the whims of a pampered groundhog is probably just as valid as what some of these analysts are doing!
