AAPL Closes Over $161, Tops $163

Apple's stock continued its record breaking climb last week to close on Friday at US$161.4499. The company's stock has been routinely breaking its own daily closing price for some time now, and may be working on an early start on Monday by topping $163 in pre-market trading.

Apple closed on October 1 at $156.339, and $159.18 on October 3. The Cupertino-based company has a market cap of $140.4 billion. In comparison, Dell closed on Friday at $27.85 with a market cap of $62.27 billion.

Apple is currently trading in the pre-market at $163.45, up 2.0001 (1.24%).

One of the things on my wish list is that I had purchased more Apple stock when I first invested. Even still I am pleased with how much it has grown over the years.
