iPO Quick Tip - iPhone: Quick Safari Scrolling

by , 7:30 AM EDT, July 27th, 2007

Scrolling through a Web page in Safari on your iPhone only takes a flick of the finger, which is a stunningly easy way to move through a site. Jumping quickly back to the top of a Web page, however, isn't quite so easy since it involves flick after flick to work your way back up -- unless you know the short cut for jumping back to the top of a page.

Jump from the middle of a Web page...

Instead of scrolling over and over to get back to the top of a page, just tap the gray status bar at the top of the iPhone display. You'll immediately jump back to the top of the Web page where you'll find the URL field, reload button, and bookmark button.

...back to the top by tapping the status bar.

In addition to working as a short cut to jump back to the top of a Web page, the status bar also shows your cell phone signal strength, WiFi or EDGE connection strength, time, battery charge level, Bluetooth connection status, and more.
