TMO Quick Tip - Web Site Down? No, It's Just You

It's always a pain when you try to visit a Web site and it just won't load in your browser. Since calling or emailing your friends to find out if they can see the site gets annoying for everyone, it's nice to know that there's an alternative to checking a Web site's status that's free and saves you from getting on anyone's nerves.

The next time you need to see if a Web site is down for everyone, or just for you, point your Web browser to Down for everyone or just me?. This slick Web page checks to see if the site you are trying to visit is online so you can tell right away if the problem is for everyone or just you -- hence the site's name.

By default it checks Google's site, but you can replace that with any URL you like. It's fast and reliable, and totally worth taking the time to bookmark.
