3-4 Week Ship Time for MacBook Pro

· by · News

There is a chance that Apple will miss its February ship date for new orders on the Intel-based MacBook Pro. As of Thursday morning, Appleis online store listed the ship time for the PowerBook G4 successor as three to four weeks, potentially pushing the initial release into March. During his keynote at Macworld Expo in January, Steve Jobs stated that the new pro-level laptop would ship in February.

Although Appleis Web site lists a three to four week ship time, there are reports that early orders will ship this month. Some TMO readers are stating that their MacBook Pro orders are showing February 15 and February 23 ship dates.

[This story has been updated to clarify that Appleis current ship date most likely applies to new MacBook Pro orders only.]
