· by Mike Washlesky · News

MacSpeech, Inc. has announced the certification of Griffinis 4 port USB-Audio Hub with MacSpeech products. The certification features USB Audio compatibility with speech-to-text applications for those users with disabilities. The hub is designed to extend ports available for other peripherals. According to MacSpeech:

Macintosh Speech Recognition authority MacSpeech, Inc. today announced it has certified the recently released 4 port USB-Audio Hub from Griffin Technologies for use with its products.

The Griffin USB-Audio Hub is a powered hub that supports Appleis implementation of USB Audio, necessary for speech recognition on newer Macintosh computers.

Although there are many USB hubs on the market, few support Appleis implementation of USB Audio, rendering them useless for speech-to-text applications. The Griffin Hub passed all our tests with flying colors.

You can find more information about the 4 port USB-Audio Hub at the Griffin Technologies Web site. The 4 port hub is available for US$39.00.
