6th Gen iPod nano Update Adds Power Off, More

Apple released iPod nano (6th generation) Version 1.1 on Wednesday, adding the ability to completely shut off the device, along with the ability to enable or disable accessibility features via iTunes.

Apple’s 6th gen nano gets a software update

Once the update is installed, the 6th gen nano can be completely shut off by pressing the sleep/wake button for several seconds. The sleep/wake button can also be set to skip to the next song or play/pause via a user-controlled setting, and podcasts now play in sequential order.

The iPod nano (6th generation) Version 1.1 is free and available via Apple’s iTunes application once user’s connect their nano to their computer.
