AAPL Closes Above $170

Appleis stock has been hovering around the US$170 mark, but has generally been unable to sustain a strong close above $170. On Wednesday, AAPL closed at $172.75 on a volume of 39.9 million shares.

The high for Wednesday was $173.04.

On Monday Lehman Brothers raised their target price for AAPL to $190.00. On Monday, October 22, Apple will host its 4th quarter earnings report when, according to Lehman Brothers, Apple should report very strong iPhone sales due to the September 5th price cut.
