AAPL Up Ahead of Mac Event

· by · Apple Stock Watch

Appleis stock is up ahead of its "Mac-related" media event scheduled for 10AM pacific time on Tuesday. The Mac and iPod maker started the day at US$134.93, and has since climbed more than a dollar.

Analysts and consumers are speculating that Apple is planning on introducing new iMac models along with updates to the .Mac service. The company has warned that some of its .Mac features may be unavailable during the presentation, adding fuel to the rumor mills.

Apple has been especially tight-lipped about the invitation only media event, and only days ago quietly revealed that CEO Steve Jobs will be on hand.

TMO will be covering the event on location.

Apple is currently trading at US$136.712, up 1.462 (1.08%).
