ABFR Updated With Expanded Renaming

PUBLICSPACE.NET has released an update for A Better Finder Rename, bringing it to version 6.1. A Better Finder Rename is a contextual menu plug-in for the Mac Finder which allows users to rename multiple files. The update features performance enhancements including expanded renaming sunctions and bug fixes. According to PUBLICSPACE.NET:

PUBLICSPACE.NET is pleased to announce version 6.1 of its "A Better Finder Rename" Macintosh Finder enhancement.

"A Better Finder Rename" is a contextual menu plugin for the Macintosh Finder which allows users to quickly rename multiple files. "A Better Finder Rename" is ideally suited for Macintosh Webmasters, users who need to transfer files from or to Windows or Unix, as well as for all other Macintosh users who deal with large numbers of files.

The new version for the first time allows files to be renamed based on names in a tab-delimited text file. This allows powerful external tools such as text editors (e.g. BBEdit), spreadsheets (e.g. MS Excel) or databases (e.g. FileMaker) to be used to generate the new names. The update also contains minor bug fixes.

You can find more information about the A Better Finder Rename update at the PUBLICSPACE.NET Web site. A Better Finder Rename 6.1 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$14.95.
