(SAN FRANCISCO) -- Steve didnit let us down. Mine eyes have seen the glory.
OS X finally gets OS 9-like features. iDVD lets you layout your own DVD movies. iTunes gives you a music player you can understand, finally. SuperDrive lets you create disk copies of all of the above. Best of all, Apple makes headway in the Megahertz wars with 733 MHz G4 processors (donit let the number fool ya). I wonit even go into the details. Iim sure itis being covered elsewhere on this site.
But I do want to drool publicly about Steve Jobsi latest "one more thing," the thing that really saturated my bib while watching his keynote address this morning: the new PowerBook G4 Titanium.
A G4, I said. A portable G4, dammit!
How long have we heard the rumors? How long have we waited? I personally know people who said they would not give up their PowerBook 2400s until they were offered a suitable replacement. Well, this isnit a replacement, but itis a step up if I ever saw one. And to think, I, almost giving up hope, was about to exchange my Wallstreet for one of those bargain-basement Pismo PowerBooks that currently lay on store shelves, bleeding from slashed-to- the-bone prices.
What can I say that you wonit be reading on other web venues? You will read about the new laptopis 15.2" viewable screen, the Titanium casing, the slot- loading CD/DVD drive, the brushed-metal appearance, and all of the other mouth-watering specs, according to Apple:

What you wonit read is that Apple once again verges on getting my wife mad at me. I just bought a Cube last summer. I was put in wife-imposed computer- buying rehab. But the cold turkey isnit tasting so good nowadays.
