Acclivity Buys MYOB US

· by · News

MYOB software distributor Acclivity announced on Tuesday that it has acquired MYOB US and its Mac and PC development team from MYOB Limited of Australia. The deal means Acclivity can enter markets outside of the U.S., and the company is already working on plans to bring the MYOB accounting applications back to Canada.

Tom Nash, Acclivity Managing Partner, commented "This deal also allows us the flexibility to enter markets outside of the US. Weire now free to explore how we will bring AccountEdge back to Canada. By popular demand, I might add."

The company plans to continue developing FistEdge, AccountEdge and AccountEdge Network Edition, and will also drive global development of the Mac OS X-based business accounting products. It also stated that Australia and New Zealand Mac customers will continue to have access to the same products and support services that were available before the purchase.

Acclivity did not state when Canadian customers can expect to see MYOB products on store shelves again.
