Adobe Creative Suite 2.3 to Include Acrobat 8

Adobe announced on Monday that the Acrobat 8 product line will be available in November. The new versions of the PDF creation, editing and viewing applications will all have access to Adobeis new Adobe Acrobat Connect 1 service that creates Web-based virtual meeting rooms for project collaboration. In addition to collaboration services, Acrobat 8 will include new tools that make it easier to combine PDF documents, improved document editing and form creation tools, and more.

Users of the free Adobe Reader 8 will be able to add comments to documents and save completed forms.

Adobe Acrobat Professional 8 will also be included in Adobe Creative Suite 2.3, due in the fourth quarter of 2006. CS2.3 also includes InDesign CS2, Illustrator CS2, Photoshop CS2, and Dreamweaver 8.

Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional is priced at US$449, Standard 8 is $299, and Acrobat 8 3D - which adds 3D design features - costs $995. All are available for pre-order now.
