· by Brad Gibson · News

Adobe Systems Inc. released Monday an updated Camera Raw plug-in that adds compatibility for six new camera models, including the Canon PowerShot 70.

The raw file allows photographers to manipulate the original data captured by the camera sensor before a final JPEG or TIFF has been generated. These raw files give photographers much greater control in applying corrections and adjustments without compromising image quality.

The camera raw plug-in allow Photoshop to easily read image files from over 70 digital cameras and interprete images to their fullest quality. Additional cameras now supported inclued Canonis EOS-1Ds Mark II, EOS 20D, PowerShot G6, and the Konica Minolta DiMAGE A200 and Maxxum 7D/Dynax 7D.
