AirPort 3.4 Updated To 3.4.1, For All AirPort Users

· by · News

Apple has released an update to the AirPort update released last week. The new version is labeled 3.4.1, and apparently addresses some issues with the 3.4 release. Apple recommends it for all AirPort users, and the notes accompanying the update read the same as the notes accompanying version 3.4. Those release notes:

This software update provides improved AirPort wireless networking software, and is recommended for all users with an AirPort Extreme and AirPort enabled computer or an AirPort Extreme base station.

New AirPort Extreme Features

  • Improved antenna output control.
  • Enhanced logging from your base station which is compatible with syslog.
  • Performance improvements for WPA security implementations.

You can download the update through Software Update in your Mac OS X Preference Panel. You can also find more information and download links at Appleis Web site. The download weighs in at 8.9 MB.
