Alexander Wilson Updated Guitar Tuner With Nonstandard Tuning September 10th, 2003 at 3:00 PM - News by Mike Washlesky Alexander Wilson has released an update for AWS Guitar Tuner, bringing it to version 1.2. AWS Guitar Tuner is a guitar voice tuner designed for acoustic and electric guitars. The update expands alternative tuning methods and "Piano" voice. According to Alexander Wilson: Alexander Wilson Studios today releases the AWS Guitar Tuner 1.2, an update to the popular and simple freeware program for musicians, exclusive to Mac OS X. The update adds support for eight common alternative tunings including Open G, Open D, Open A, Open E, E Minor, Drop D, Double Drop D, and Halfstep Down. Nonstandard tuning has been the number one feature request since the release of version 1.0 in February. Other enhancements in this version include a "Piano" voice and an individual note player (one full octave from A to G#).
