Ambric Rolls Out Am2045 GT Encoding Platform for Leopard

Ambric announced the immediate availability of its Juiced Accelerator video encoding card and Am2045 GT Video Reference platform with support for Mac OS X 10.5 on Monday. The Juiced Accelerator ties into applications like Pyro AV Pyro Kompressor, Sorenson Media Squeeze 5 Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, giving the Mac Pro and MacBook Pro up to a six-times performance improvement when encoding H.264 content.

The PCI Express card uses less than 15 watts of power, supports multi-stream codec applications, includes decoders for 10 pro camera formats, supports job automation, and is compatible with external PCI Express boxes for the MacBook Pro.
