Ambric Rolls Out Am2045 GT Encoding Platform for Leopard August 24th, 2008 at 3:00 PM - News by Jeff Gamet Ambric announced the immediate availability of its Juiced Accelerator video encoding card and Am2045 GT Video Reference platform with support for Mac OS X 10.5 on Monday. The Juiced Accelerator ties into applications like Pyro AV Pyro Kompressor, Sorenson Media Squeeze 5 Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, giving the Mac Pro and MacBook Pro up to a six-times performance improvement when encoding H.264 content. The PCI Express card uses less than 15 watts of power, supports multi-stream codec applications, includes decoders for 10 pro camera formats, supports job automation, and is compatible with external PCI Express boxes for the MacBook Pro.
