Ampede has released an update to its Motion plug-in LayerLink that adds support for Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" as well as PDF Compression support in Illustrator files. LayerLink 1.2 can import an Illustrator file as a Motion project, keeping intact all settings, names and visibility and updating it when changes are made to the original. Itis a native plug-in, so it can use Motionis real-time rendering capabilities.
This is a free update for registered users. The full software is US$119 and requires Mac OS X v10.3.x or higher. LayerLink is compatible with Motion 1.0 and 1.0.1; support for version 2.0 is "coming soon," according to Ampede. It also works with Adobe Illustrator 10 or higher.
