FireLogic, Inc. has released a new version of, HealthEngage Disease Management, bringing it to version 3.0. HealthEngage is a personal medical app designed for the tracking and evaluation of a patients medical condition, specifically Type I and II diabetes. The latest version boasts over 135 new features including a food and exercise database, and is compatible with handheld devices. According to FireLogic:

HealthEngage Diabetes provides an easy, yet complete tool for Diabetics to enter their health information from any desktop computer or Palm device.
Using the software, diabetics and their Doctors are able to better manage their conditions and spot dangerous trends before they become life threatening. Diabetics can collect, graph and produce reports about their condition for their Doctor with one click of the mouse.
Over 135 new features and enhancements have been added to the system. The nutrition section utilizes the USDAs official database of over 6700 foods. The exercise section includes the National Sports Medicine Associations database of over 700 exercises and physical activities. Users can also set reminders for appointments, refills, etc. and can even enter their complete laboratory test results and medications into which can then be kept as their personal digital health record.
FireLogic believes that it has created the most powerful diabetes management software tool available. By creating a specially optimized version of its software for Mac OS X, the company hopes to ensure that Apple CEO Steve Jobsi concept of the "digital hub" will expand beyond entertainment and bring new meaning to the old saying An Apple a day keeps the Doctor away.
