Another Great Title Updated For The Holidays

Avernum 2, from the same people that brought us the Exile series, is a follow-up to the original Avernum title and takes users deeper into the plight of the prisoners of the underworld. According to Spiderweb Software:

Avernum is a prison. It is an enormous warren of tunnels and caverns, farbelow the surface of the world. You were banished there by the cruel Empire,to spend the rest of your life in the underworld. At first, it seemed likeyou and your many fellow prisoners might be able to form a nation and livein peace, far from the sun.

Then a group of adventurers from Avernum assassinated Hawthorne, the emperorof the Empire. Now the forces of the Empire are rampaging through yourunderground home, killing everyone they find. As things stand, the nation ofAvernum, and all in it, are doomed.

But then you, lowly soldiers stationed at the most remote of forts, get achance to change things. A series of unexpected events gives you the chanceto explore unimagined realms, meet strange alien creatures, and maybe, withluck and cunning, save your people from certain doom.

Avernum. Itis a terrible place. But itis all you have.
