Apple And ABC-TV Team To Help Developers, Promote MACWORLD

Apple and ABC television are teaming to help developers promote their products, and at the same time generate hype for Januaryis MACWORLD SF Expo. Apple Developer Connection (ADC) Premier and Select members will have the opportunity to purchase discounted advertising space on ABC. Also, Apple, ABC, and participating developers will be offering MACWORLD SF visitors a chance to win a trip to New York City for a taping of ABCis "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." According to Apple:

I wanted to give you a heads up on a new program we just launched for our Premier and Select developers exhibiting at Macworld Conference & Expo San Francisco.

In a nutshell, in conjunction with ABC-TV, we built a program package whereby ADC Premier and Select members can purchase day and evening primetime TV ad space during the three weeks leading up to Macworld Expo. The commercials will, of course, promote the developeris product(s), as well as the developeris presence at the upcoming Macworld Expo. Whatis more, the commercial will let viewers know that upon visiting the developeris booth at Macworld Expo, they have a chance to win a trip for two to NYC to see a live taping of ABCis "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," as well as a chance to win other prizes. As part of the package, ABC will even fully produce the developeris :30 network quality TV commercial, providing all the props, talent, and voices. The total cost of this package, which includes everything (and I mean everything; commercial production, prizes, air time, etc.), is a flat rate of $50,450.
