Apple Announces WWDC 08 Dates: June 9-13

Apple announced on Thursday that it will be hosting its World Wide Developer Conference on June 9 through June 13, 2008. The event will be at Moscone West in San Francisco, and Apple is dubbing it "A landmark event. In more ways than one."

The annual conference for Mac OS X, and now OS X, developers will include three tracks covering the iPhone, the Mac, and IT. Sessions will address working with the new iPhone SDK, Leopard feature integration, deploying and managing network applications, and more.

WWDC is a once-a-year event where developers have an opportunity to learn more about developing for the Mac and iPhone, and cal also meet Appleis own developers face to face.

This yearis WWDC also happens to fall in June the same month that Apple promised to release iPhone and iPod touch Software 2.0, and to launch App Store, the online store where developers can distribute their iPhone and iPod touch applications.

WWDC 08 tickets are priced at US$1,295 per person, or $1,694 with an ADC membership. Ticket five-packs cost $5,180 and $3,499, respectively.
