Apple Boosts Java To Version 1.4.2 With "Drawing Enhancements & Stability"

Apple has updated Java to version 1.4.2. The update includes, not too surprisingly, support for Sunis Java 1.4.2. Appleis short release notes say simply:

In addition to providing support for Sunis Java 1.4.2 APIs, this release includes enhancements to drawing performance and stability for both Java applications and Java applets.

Note : This installer will replace your current installation of Java 1.4.1.

You can find more information and download links for this release, and Appleis implementation of Java, at the companyis Java site. You can also download it from the Software Update Control Panel. The file weighs in at 29.4 MB.
