Apple Drops Price of 20" and 23" Cinema Displays

Apple Computer dropped the price for its 20" and 23" Cinema Displays Wednesday. The company lowered the price of the 20" Cinema Display by US$200 to $799, and the 23" Cinema Display HD by $300 to $1,499. The 30" model will remain priced at $2,999, and all three units maintain the same features and specs as before.

In comparison, Dell offers a 20.1" wide-aspect LCD display with a list price of $749, and a discounted price of $486.85. Gateway doesnit currently offer a Gateway-branded 20" display, but does have on its Web site units from other companies starting at $704.95 at the same resolution as Appleis unit.

Apple also announced Wednesday a bump in its Power Mac G5 product line.
