Apple Earns Excellence in Retailing Award

TWICE, a consumer electronics magazine, has awarded the Apple retail stores this yearis Excellence In Retailing Award in the Best Vendor Retailer category.

"Through its stores Apple provides consumers a hands-on way to experience its products, which are displayed in a variety of category-specific areas to encourage customers to test and play. In addition to showcasing and selling its own products, the stores also carry a variety of third-party accessories and software titles that are compatible with Apple products," TWICE wrote.

TWICE also gave Apple props for its Genius Bar where customers can get product questions answered and sometimes get items repaired on the spot.


Apple stores alone had total revenues of US$4.1B in 2007 and will likely exceed $5.0B in 2008.
