Freddie Geier, CEO of Elgato, will be the new Managing Director of Appleis German subsidiary, Elgato announced on Tuesday. He will leave Elgato and transition into his new position at the end of October 2005.
"Apple Germany is going to be led by a true entrepreneur, we congratulate them and weire very happy for Freddie," said Markus Fest, President and founder of Elgato Systems.
Elgato is best known for its digital video recorder accessories for the Mac, like the EyeTV.
Apple has not yet released an official statement about Geieris appointment.
