Apple Newton Museum Collection Auctioned off on eBay

Apple CEO Steve Jobs may have killed the Newton PDA upon his return to the company, but its fans continue to keep the deviceis legacy alive. One of them, the owner of the Newton Museum, is auctioning off his entire collection of hardware, software and other stuff on eBay.

The auction, which ends on Dec. 26, includes not only one of each Apple Newton model ever made but also piles of accessories, software, manuals and developer information. The collection even includes the original button that was handed out when the Newton was first displayed at Macworld. Shipping is US$80 to any location in the United States.

At 11:48 AM PST on Wednesday, bidding had reached $1,000. Bidding started at $299.
