Apple Offers US$300 Rebate On PowerMac G4 Models

Apple has begun offering up to a US$300 rebate on PowerMac G4 models. The offer is valid between May 10th and July 7th, and according to Appleis Hot Deals Web page, it is valid with online purchases and purchases made at the Appleis retail stores. The rebate offeris PDF file also says "Apple products must be purchased from an Apple retail facility or a participating authorized Apple reseller located in the fifty United States or District of Columbia." The offer is US$200 back on an 800 MHz PowerMac G4, or US$300 back on either a 933 MHz model, or the dual-GHz unit. From the PDF file:

Purchase a qualifying Power Mac G4 between May 10, 2002, and July 7, 2002.
Buy a Power Mac G4 (800 MHz) and receive $200 back.
Buy a Power Mac G4 (800 MHz configure-to-order) and receive $200 back.
Buy a Power Mac G4 (933 MHz) and receive $300 back.
Buy a Power Mac G4 (dual 1 GHz) and receive $300 back.
Buy a Power Mac G4 (933 MHz or dual 1 GHz configure-to-order) and receive $300 back.

These models are currently retailing as follows:

  • 800 MHz - US$1599 (minus the US$200 rebate)
  • 933 MHz - US$2299 (minus the US$300 rebate)
  • Dual GHz - US$2999 (minus the US$300 rebate)
  • There is also a loaded "Ultimate" configuration on the Dual-GHz unit that retails for US$3849
