· by · News

Apple has officially announced they will be shipping Mac OS X versions of iTunes, iMovie 2, and a preview of AppleWorks 6.1 this weekend, just in time for the final release of Mac OS X. In a press release that was mostly filled with information we have long known, including the news that Mac OS X will be shipping this Friday, Apple mentions that those three apps will be released this Saturday. According to Apple:

Apple will also ship Mac OS X versions of its three most popular applications on March 24, available as free downloads at www.apple.com: iMovie™ 2, the worldis most popular and easiest-to-use digital video editing software; iTunes, Appleis wildly popular "jukebox" software that lets users create and manage their own music library; and a preview version of AppleWorks® 6.1, Appleis award-winning productivity application.

Good news indeed.
