Apple Posts G5 Firmware Update

Apple Computer has posted a new firmware update for Uniprocessor Power Mac G5s to fix unexpected behavior in the first version of the update, which was released two weeks ago.

The Power Mac G5 Uniprocessor Firmware Update 5.1.5f2 fixes issued caused by an earlier firmware release that could cause several problems including a kernel panic, the loss of USB function with some keyboards or mouse tracking devices, Bluetooth USB modules that donit respond five minutes after starting up and interrupted audio playback in iTunes.
