Apple Posts Mac OS X Server Migration Guide

With last weekis release of Mac OS X Server 2.0, based on the Mac OS X 10.0 code, many users of OS X and the previous version of OS X Server will be looking to updgrade. To help facilitate that process, Apple has posted the Mac OS X Server Migration Guide. The guide, roughly an 800k PDF file, contains sections entitled:

  • Migrating in Place
  • Migrating to a New Server
  • Migrating AppleShare IP

The 48 page document includes detailed instructions, screen shots, and tips to help make the move to the powerful and flexible OS X Server as smooth as possible. You can find the OS X Server Migration Guide in Apple TIL Article n120002, and information about Mac OS X Server at the Apple Web site.
